Stephen Marshall PhD currently holds the position of Brand Strategist / Analytics at Creative Energy as well as Associate Professor in Communication at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Marshall demonstrates Creative Energy’s strategic reliance on market research and metrics to measure success for its clients.

As a former employee of Nielsen, Dr. Marshall has research experience with advertising agencies, broadcast/cable networks, public relations firms as well as media research focused on Spanish-language audiences. For Creative Energy, he performs monitoring, analytics and assessment functions of client digital performance. As a university professor, Dr. Marshall is an award-winning educator and mentor of graduate-level students in communication/marketing and has published research on effective advertising techniques as well as in the areas of cross-cultural media research.

When Dr. Marshall isn’t looking at digits and charts he’s playing electric and doghouse bass for Americana acts in Northeast Tennessee.
