Some children in the Johnson City public school system will have more presents under the tree this year thanks to the generosity of the employees of Creative Energy. The full-service advertising agency will provide several gifts to four children this holiday.
Creative Energy employees donate money individually, as well as using profits from company vending machines for the cause. Owners Tony and Teresa Treadway match whatever contributions individual employees make as part of the effort. Staff members shop for gifts, which this year includes warm winter coats, shoes, clothes and toys for the children. The gifts are wrapped, and then given to the children’s parents or caregivers anonymously through the school.
“Creative Energy has been very blessed this year. When other agencies are having to down-size, or even go out of business, we are obtaining new clients and helping their businesses grow as well,” says Tony Treadway, founder and owner of Creative Energy. “We realized though some parents out there struggling to have a nice Christmas for their kids, and we want to do our part to help those we can.”
This is the seventh year the company has bought gifts for children. This year’s students were four boys in Kindergarten and First grade. The names are given to the company through the Johnson City School System.
