Creative Energy Shares Prosperous Year With Others, Matching Employee Donations

(Johnson City, Tenn.)—Creative Energy, a local full-service advertising, marketing, digital, public relations and social media agency, is celebrating its most successful year to date. The agency, now more than 30 employees strong, is sharing its good fortune with some local children as well as the United Way this holiday season.

The agency is owned by Tony and Teresa Treadway, and for the past 11 years, the business has “adopted” local children in need through a partnership with Johnson City Schools. Creative Energy employees donate money individually for the cause, and Creative Energy matches any contributions individual employees make as part of the effort. Staff members shop for and wrap the gifts, which includes clothes and toys for the children.

The agency is also participating in the United Way fundraising effort this year for Washington County. When Vice President Teresa Treadway called to report the amount the agency’s employees could give, again with matching donations from the company, she was informed that the amount put the United Way over its goal for the year.

Tony Treadway says it’s been wonderful to see his company grow and prosper through hard work, but also rewarding to be able to help the community with the fruits of that labor. “When we started the company, it was Teresa and me and a few others meeting in the back of an old restaurant more than 20 years ago,” he reflects. “To see us grow into what we are today with two buildings, an office in Asheville and doing work for national clients is really something. We are happy to use our success to give back to the community.”
