Creative Energy Shares Prosperous Year With Others

Tony Treadway

Creative Energy, a local full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency, is wrapping up one of its most successful years to date … and has “adopted” some local children to help make their holidays better. The agency gave Christmas presents to four local children through a partnership with Coalition for Kids, a non-profit organization with a mission to help children in need.

Creative Energy employees donate money individually for the cause. Creative Energy matches any contributions individual employees make as part of the effort. Staff members shop for and wrap the gifts, which includes clothes and toys for the children.

“Our company has been blessed to have had a wonderful year and we wanted to share our joy with others,” says Tony Treadway, founder and owner of Creative Energy. “We are happy to do our part to brighten the holiday for these families.”

This is the ninth year the company has bought gifts for area children. This year’s students were two girls (ages 7 and 10) and two boys (ages 7 and 8) from the Cherokee School System in Johnson City. The names were given to the agency through Coalition for Kids.

Some of the items on the children’s Christmas list included coats, shoes, clothes, Barbies, soccer balls, Hot Wheel cars and superhero action figures. The company also provided gift cards for groceries.

Creative Energy is a full-service advertising, marketing, social media and public relations firm with offices located in Johnson City and Asheville, N.C. A recipient of the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the company was recognized as one of the nation’s top 75 small businesses in 2010. In 2014 Creative Energy was a recipient of the Faith in the Future Award from the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce in 2014.
